Her work is rooted in a womanist perspective, centering themes of relational healing, community building, creative expression, and spirituality.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eJasmine is a freelance journalist and contributing arts and culture writer for South Side Weekly, Sixty Inches From Center, City Bureau, and the Chicago Reader. Her literary writing has been published in local magazines and zines including Lucky Jefferson where she most recently served as a guest editor. Jasmine has participated in multiple writing residencies and fellowships including the City Bureau Civic Reporting Fellow, the In Surreal Life Poetry Fellowship, and the Muña Art Writing Residency.
