Meet Your Instructor:
Desi Lenc

With a degree in Creative Writing from Northridge State University, Desi Lenc writes speculative fiction and non-fiction at the intersection of spirituality and wellness. She is the organizer and moderator for Beyond Borders, a multicultural book club for writers. Her passion for assisting writers in exploring their creativity led her to the operations manager position at Resource For Writers. Desi has participated in various readings and panels around the Bay Area, including FogCon, Lit Quake, Beast Crawl, and FIYAH Magazine’s An Afrofuturist Reading. She regularly shares her reading suggestions and dream information on Instagram and Tik Tok @desi_lenc. You can find her writing in midnight & indigo, Spirituality & Health Magazine, and Outcast’s Mag. She’s currently working on her first novel and a guided dream journal.

Course Skeleton

  • Meeting One: We’ll learn how creatives have used dreams in their work, how to use our dreams in our writing, complete writing exercises to help us get in touch with dream logic, and expand on a dream brought to class. We’ll get to know each other and our experiences with dreamwork and have opportunities for questions and sharing of experiences

  • Meeting Two: We’ll start with a writing exercise, then share our pieces/workshop. 

 

We offer full refunds for cancellation with written notice up until 7 days before your class start date. From 6 days to more than 24 hours before class begins, we offer a 50% refund. If you drop a class less than 24 hours before the class begins or after it has started, you are ineligible for a refund.
